I just wanted to voice my displeasure with yet another problem I've had with Dixie Ford.
This year will be the first year I plan to store the Cobra, I will finally have a garage to keep it in. Like most everyone else, they put their cars away for the winter and leave only fire and theft on their insurance.
But if you have a lease with Dixie Ford you have the special pleasure of being told that you're not allowed to take the car off the road for storage, you still have to pay for full insurance.
This is what was told straight from Ted Hogan to my friend who *I* recommended to go to Dixie and get his Mach 1 from.
Now we are both stuck with a lease from Dixie Ford, that we were told was absolutely no different than getting a lease from Ford Credit, and cannot put the cars away.
Upon contacting Ford Credit, we were told that there is a standard form that Ford has to let owners, with proper reason, take their cars into storage for the winter and remove the appropriate insurance coverage. Ted Hogan denies it exists.
Again I feel that Dixie isn't willing to help out a customer and I will have to direct all future business and maintenance elsewhere. I will also be contacting Ford and SVT/SVTOA about this, as I feel we were not properly informed of this difference of leasing with the dealership directly.
