Do you think these are acceptable figures?

I was concerned about engine problems after a problem i had a few weeks ago .. you see, my power steering pump died on my way back from a trip .. the pump put pressure on the belt and very little coolant was recirculating .. my engine smoked and over heated ..

i specifically asked for a compression test and the mechanic said the figures were "acceptable" .. i noticed a loss in power since then .. I think there might have been some engine damage.

so i took my svt focus to get dyno'd on a Mustang Dyno .. Apparently they're not SAE corrected ... i'm approx 3,000 ft above sea level ..

Should i be concerned with these dyno numbers? Or is the power loss all in my head?

The numbers on that graph are uncorrected for your altitude?

If so then, they do look to be ok. With the 170 horse and 145 pound feet, you will see a certain amount of power "loss" for every thousand feet up you go. In addition, there are the typical drivetrain losses. But, going on that assumption for the uncorrected figures, I'd say that you are making more than the rated 170 horses and 145 pound feet of torque.

As for the feeling of power loss, it may or may not be there. Over-heating won't damage the engine to the point where it needs to be rebuilt unless the over-heating is left unchecked or repaired for too long.
