Has anyone had any really good experiences with having their modular 4.6 rebuilt? I live in South GA and would prefer to have the work done by someone in the Southeast, USA. Please give me your input on a reputable rebuilder. Thanks! -jason

Well, I haven't had mine rebuilt, but based on input from people that have, I would say look at:

1) True Blue Performance, NC
2) Randy Haywood, formerly of True Blue, now on his own
3) Sean Hyland

I am sure there are others out there, but these guys seem to have a pretty good rep by many who've had work done by them.

Have you dealt with any of these companies or know of people who have had good results with their work? Thanks! -jason

I personally know Dan Millen-Livernoise, they just completed the new 5.0L MM for 5.0 Magazine's 3G GT project car. Dan is a super nice guy and also has taken care of the engines in Roxanne and Barry Shepard's MM race cars. You may know Dan as the driver from Fun Ford Weeked Outlaw.

I also personally know Tim Matherly-MV Performance, he has several customer cars in FFW MM competiton, and is also a super nice guy.

To be honest I have never had either shop build an engine for me, however that is because I have not needed their experience.

Good luck, if you do the rebuild just make sure you put good rods and forged pistons in it, the factory stuff can't take a lot of abuse, re: blowers or NOS.
