I have talked to Rick at Amazon Racing and i am trying to get together some of us 03 Cobra, Lightning, and Harley owners to have a dyno day at ATS on Two Notch. I want to but the question for me is when and then if I will have the time. None-the-less, I challenge all the gen2 Lightning and S/C harley trucks to a 50/50 pool for the best hp/tq numbers.

Sounds like you want to bringer a ringer to the show! I propose we run trucks against trucks and cars against cars. I would love to see all the Lightnings throw down. Maybe Woody and I could fight it out. Or maybe some of the Charlotte boys would come whup up on us. And I would really like to see your factory 03 Cobra go up against Clay's homebuilt hot rod. Win, lose or draw, it would be cool and fun. Also, didn't ATS stand us as a club up once? Not to be negative, but as some of us would have to travel a fair distance, could we get some type of assurance that the equipment and personel will be available?

Yes, I do believe ATS is the same group that cancelled on us last time. I cant say much more since I didnt have any dealings with them on that particular event. So, guess we will have to see.

Yes ATS did cancel on us after we spent money on mailings ad had folks confirmed to come. We are scheduled to go to Charlotte Sat July 12th to see our member Dave at Dynamic Auto works and go to his buddys dyno and go to Hooters after it is over.Dave suggested we tune someones car/truck. Costs have not been determined as yet but Dave and I have talked several times about it.We will confirm soon. Thanks Chuck

I will have all the details worked out today! Since this is a long haul for some folks I thought maybe to meet at the shop around 11:00 am and then I will do a couple of upgrades on lightninjim's truck as a demostration. From there we will go to the Dyno. Last time I used this dyno the owner brought in lunch while we were there which was extremely nice. This will take several hours depending on how many vehicles turn out. From there we will head back to town to the local Hooters to finish out our day. If anyone has any comments or thinks that we should start earlier or latter please let me know. The # at the shop is (704)333-5821.

Someone got this post all confused! There is GOING to be a Dyno Day in the next few short weeks HERE in Columbia at ATS on Two Notch Rd w/ Rick from Amazon Racing. He will be there tuning cars and trucks and selling parts! This Dyno Day has nothing to do w/ the one going on in Charlotte! I have no idea why someone posted that on this thread! Sorry for the confusion Jamie!

Sorry Jamie, were not trying to rain on your parade. But ATS cancelled on us last year after we spent money on mailings and people lined up to come.We were on their calender and were told at the last minute the dyno operator would not be there.We had to pay more postage and cancell on everyone.No problem.We planned one in December for JULY 12 2003 at Charlotte. BTW I think I pass you on Fish Hatchery rd. Do you know John and Mike and Hussein?:bna

If someone would be so good as to give an exact location we will be meeting at, the time of the meet. the event/meeting name, and any other pertinant information, I will be glad to update the website with all of the information. Sounds like it will be fun. Any Charleston Folks want to meet somewhere and cruise up together? I think that would be cool :).....Danno

Tom at Bob Bennett will be at Camp Lejune to see his son who will be back from the Iraqi sandbox so he won't be able to attend..... We still have Hooters reserved but I will cancell unless I get at least ten people to commit before Wednesday June 4th. Clay mentioned by phone about an scca autocross on the seventh...:confused: Talk about confused, I think this started out as a dyno thread:huh:

OK who all is going to Charlotte on July 12 for tuning Dyno and Hooters and some will go to Rockingham after for the Sat Night Street Drags?It looks like we might have more folks from the NLOC/CLOC than elsewhere. Thanks to all.
