I drove cars with all of them and settled on the Pro 5.0. I have never regretted that decision. When I bought the Cobra, a Pro 5.0 went on it two days after I picked it up!

However, you might want to actually go see if you can talk to a couple of people with different shifters and work the shifts for yourself. It is kind of an individual thing. I love my Pro 5.0, but others like their Tri-ax just as much, etc., etc. :D

I decided on a Steeda Tri-Ax... and I love it. The 2nd to 3rd shift is flawless. I do not have experience with any other shifters... strictly the Steeda Tri-Ax - which I highly recommend.

I would do what Ken said - see if you can get a feel for the different shifters for yourself. When I was trying to decide on what gear ratio to go with, someone was nice enough to let me drive their '01 Cobra with 4.30's installed... that is how I decided to go with my 4.30 gear instead of the 3.73's I originally planned on...

Just my .02 :tmb:

If you decide to go with the pro5.0 let me know I have one that I used about 3mo before I traded for my 03. I'll let it go for 125.00 plus shipping if your interested has a steeda shift knob on it. Rachrse

I see alot of guys going with a Tri-Ax or Pro 5.0 I had the tri-ax on my 01 Bullitt i did not like it.

I now have a shifter from PHP http://www.paulshp.com/paulshp.htm I love this shifter!! Call Paul before you buy a shifter.

Good Luck!!

Ray, do you know if you can get a longer shift handle for his shifter I saw one on his web site for the 03 but it only shows the base and the short handle and I was wondering if he offers a longer handle or if you can use the stock handle thanks Rachrse:huh:

I'm using the stock handle with Paul's shifter on my Bullitt. I'm sure you can do the same with your 03. Give Paul a call, he will be more then happy to talk to you.

Thanks I'll give him a call the reason I asked about the longer handle is because I kept banging my fingers on the console with the short handle. Do you have this problem or is there plenty of room with paul's shifter. By the way did you have the bullitt at Desoto last thursday. Rachrse

Ray no I never got a chance to introduce myself I was with my son and we were trying to tune his cavalier we had installed a turbo and we were trying to get it dialed in. Now that I know who you are I will stop to say hello next time I see you at the track. Your bullitt was turning some good times when I did get to see you run. Rachrse
