Dynoed my 03 cobra a few weeks ago. It has a few mods: 2.93" blower pulley, custom superchips program, wms cold air kit and a bassani catback exhaust. I was hoping for 440rwhp. I got 461 rwhp and 472 rwtq. Thats about 530 flywheel horsepower and 543 foot lbs of torque. I have an off-road bassani x-pipe on order and will try to get it to 500rwhp before swapping in a kenne bell unit for 2004.

Your Dino results are pretty impressive, I just bought my new 2003 Cobra about a week ago. In regards to the blower pulley, aren't you worried about damaging the engine or do you think this is a safe bet to milk some more horsepower. Also was it necessary to reprogram anything, and where did you purchase the new chip or reprogramming hardware?

Not sure how you came up with those SAE numbers, but these below are SAE corrected. Any estimations for flywheel are just that...

Dyno not attached because I can't get the size down to a paltry 50k. Sheesh, what's up with that!?!?

Before HP: 380 @ around 35-4k
Before Torque: 370.9 @ around 6250

After HP: 450.8 @ around 57k
After Torque: 485.4 @ around 35k!!!!!

2003 w/these mods:

Cat-back to 3" pipes
2.81 upper pulley & belt
K&N CAI
SuperChip
NKG plugs
Pro 5.0 Power Tower
Rear bushings
Subframe doublecross members

Springfield MotorSport, VA did the work.

Chris at True Blue in Benson, NC is picking my baby up today. By time I get home, mid-June "enshalah" The girl should be pumping 550+ or - rwhp. Currently at 447 rwp and 478 lbs/ft of torque. My current mods are the JDM kit, 2.93 and 2.8 in pullies, magnaflow catbacks, 10in conical filter, Denso iriduim plugs IT22s gapped to .038in and SuperCHip flip chip...Pro 5.0 shifter makes me feel faster!
Next set of mods, Accufab single blade throttle body, BBK long tube headers, x-pipe, high flow cats, 50lbs injectors, dyno tuned at True Blue's shop with the Auto Logic flip chip, sub-frame connectors(welded), strut tower brace, IRS bushing swap and getting a little lowering done.
I'm taking aim at some community Vipers on the strip in Fayetteville, NC and Rockingham, NC.

Dale

Sounds pretty good DaleM. That first 70-100 Hp comes easy doesn't it. After that, without digging in, it becomes a little harder to squeeze out big numbers with bolt-ons.

How's the curve on your torque now? The work done on mine pulled everything down tremendously. Max torque used to be around 5500-6000, but now it's at 3k!

The first set of mods didn't cost a whole bunch. This next set is pretty steep.
The torque curve sounds about right. I was amazed at the difference from 360 for both power and torque with hot engine, drove from Fayetteville to a dyno shop about 150 miles away. After the mods the torque really opened my eyes to the potential with this car. I had to feather the pedal when the Goodyears started wearing at 14,000.
Two more weeks, not sure who I want to see more, the wife or the car..lol. We are working on doing the Dragon's Tail (Deal's Gap, Tn) this October with the NC Cobra club. I plan to have the 10.5 wheel/tire combo on her by then.
Living on Zulu time,
Dale

My first set of mods was around 2 grand. This next set is closer to 6. The dyno tuning and labor are eating a big chunk of that up. True Blue is a serious racing shop. Could have had the work done cheaper but taking the car to this next level I want the racers on it. Got my bonus while I was over here and that means tax free. Gotta love it.
I thought somewhere you were looking at the Kenne Bell. Pete Minsky's got over 600hp with 21psi and the charge temp is cooler that the cobra at 14 psi if I remeber right.

Please don't lose your Mojo, it is not cool. Your numbers look correct to me. For $3.8k got pulley, X-pipe, Cat Back, .... see my sig, Dyno figures look correct (SAE).

Yeah, me, too. I used three months worth of tax free pay from Saudi. I'm considering long tube headers, MAF meter and new (larger) intercooler cooler.
