Ok, before I start let me say this:
1. I have nothing against sport compact cars. In fact I love them.
2. I am not some kind of red neck who dislikes any car without 8 cylinders.
3. In fact, I am here because I drive an SVT focus.
Ok, the whole point of this movie is drag racing. However all of the cars in the movie are just not made for this type of racing.
A sport compact car serves several purposes:
1. It must be fun to drive.
2. It must be practical; can be used as an everyday driver.
3. Being agile, not ballz out fast.
I mean come on! Who makes a front wheel drive car with a four cylinder into a drag racer. That's not what it's purpose is.
Ok, ok, I relize that people actually do this. VERY few people actually do convert one of these into a "10 second car."
What must be done in order to get a little 4 banger to do this feat? My guess is: so much forced induction that it is ridiculous! You would have to rebuild your friggen engine like every 5000 miles. The technology in engines today just can not handle that much power.
I did like how in the end of the movie Van Diesel lifts the front end of "Detroit Muscle" off the ground like a crazed maniac though.
Other than that I actually enjoyed the movie.
 It just kind of bugs me.
Just thought I'd share my opinion with you guys.
