For what it's worth, should your Cobra stop running due to an apparent lack of fuel (like 'SNAKEYE' did the other day) it may well be the fuel pump relay that is the problem. If you can not hear the fuel pump run for a few seconds when you turn the ignition switch to the run position it's a pretty good bet that it is the relay.
It is located under the dash, behind the glovebox. Open the glovebox door, push the sides of the box inward to allow the stops to clear the frame, and swing the door and box down out of the way. Right there behind the glovebox is the relay mounted to a holding bracket under the dash. A replacement is about $8 at Auto Zone. Or probably twice that much from Ford.
