YES!!
Got my Kumho Ecsta V700 225 45 17 last night, got my Team Dynamic Racing 17 x 7 offset 45 yesterday. Had them mounted by "Racer Phil" Phil Alspauch who is president of TCR Group, Tire Car Racing. Bought tires through Passen Motorsports in Columbus. $159each $60 shipping plus tax. The wheels weighed out on the digital scale at 16.6lbs!

Sunday is the first points event of the Ohio Valley Region SCCA, events at Ohio State University, RT 315 exit Ackerman Rd.

I will be determining air pressure and Koni settings starting Sunday and into all season. I hope this car is as fast as I want it to be.

Event Sunday was good. The weather was ideal, 70+ with dry air. News said the humidity was 21%.

Did OK in the Focus, I think fifth of 16 cars in class. 80th of 189 drivers, with a PAX of 35th of 189 First was a Neon.
I didn't drive very well. Three 180 turns which I don't seem to do well. The car is fast, cause I got a decent time without good driving. Wore a lot of rubber off the front on those 180's.
times were 45.8 45.6 and then with a passenger and lousy driving a 46 something. Most of class was 47-50 I believe.

I set Koni's one turn in front and 1.25 in rear. I believe I can go stiffer on each of these setting. Tire pressure was 37 front and 35 rear. after last run the front was 45+. I need to check and reduce the pressure between runs. Didn't think of it!!!

I ran a second plus faster than a regular focus that also is running Kumo Ecsta V700. So I guess they were driving a little better than me as my car is more capable than one sec difference. Got a lot to learn, especially the left foot braking.
See ya

Further update.
I have edited my report on the points event 1. Got worse results than I thought.

Next event is a test and tune at a new site on 17 may, and sunday 18 may there is a competition between the Western Ohio Region and the Ohio Valley Region at the new site. The site is next to the OSU airfield. Don Scott Field. Off state route 161.
See you there.
