Okay guys, eat your hearts out. Check out my new Cobra Pulley Cover. Comes in Silver and Black. Do note that there is no mount at the top of cover, I have been waiting months for this thing.

So where did you get it?
I like it - think it would look good in black on my car :-)

Another example of something Ford should have put on the 03 Cobra in the first place !!!. I know this dude in our local club that would love that cover, user name; Rachrse. He already has his motor tricked out in chrome and Billet stuff.

From talking to one of the SVT guys in the Dealership I go to. The orginal photo's they saw, it did have this cover. So they must have dropped it before production. I stuck with the silver, to keep in with the orginal look. Ain't it just the coolest thing...

I thought I should have maybe put this in from the start. It was $184 delivered, Federal Express; so it will not be left on your door step.

It is stamped in. Slotted like the orginal. The silver is an exact match for the orginal,

I was all set to get one till u said $184. That seems about 2 times what it should be. Sometimes a place has to make less per unit & sell a heck of a lot more.

You know what. I use to ride with the "GWRRA", Gold Wing Road Riders Association. We pay $20,000 plus for a motorcycle. Then; some go looking for the cheapest parts they can. A year down the road when they are falling off or the chrome is peeling they wonder why?? I am happy with my purchase. I think I got a good value for my money. It appears to be as high a quality as the orginal. Would I do it again? With out a second thought.

Good for U, but some of us have to work for our $$ & don't like to throw it away. Some owners even use regular oil & not synthetic because of price. Now I think thats a poor idea too as synthetics are so much better but its hard for some people to spend $5 a qt when they can get it for $1 even if the $5 a qt. is way better.

It is not worth fighting over. I am not rich, I do not use synthetic oil. But I do have my toys. I sold my Wing when I got my Cobra. But; the comon man also can not afford a $35,000 plus car. We are lucky and I love this car. Never had anything like it and may never have another like it. This is my last reply.

David,
I think the pulley cover is sweet and if you are happy with it that is all that matters. Value is in the eye of the beholder! I would like to have one myself.
We all need to remember that everything is relative. There are millions of people in the world that would never spend $35k - $40k for a hot rod Mustang that is only driven 6 or 8 months per year. To them, it makes no sense to drive it hard on the road or track, then bring it home and wash, re-wax, and then cover in the garage until we go out and rip up the pavement again. To many folks our emotional relationship w/our cars is crazy. To us, it is the only way.
Its the same thing with the pulley cover. Value is in the eye of the beholder.

That would be a great idea but at $168 I wouldn't expect that much off but it won't hurt to ask.

You get what you pay for, I use synthetic only and I work for my money. Sometimes you have to decide if buying a $40,000 car is smart if you can't afford to put $35.00 worth of oil in it!

I've seen a chrome one on SVTperformance.com but I'm not sure if he had it dipped or if it came that way. As for me, I just took mine off. I like it better without it...well that, and I like the look of the billet flow idler next to it:-D.

If you come across a seller auctioning off Cobra and Lightning parts I would not suggest doing business with this guy. Never answers emails and just keeps you in the dark.

Thanks, I will check it out. I too am ordering some chrome AFS 03 wheels with the 10.5 rears for 315 drags. The only thing I wonder about is if the SVT center caps will fit for the OEM look.
