Many of you are already aware that our own Kevin Rogers (Journey Racing Group), and co Driver Tom Barnard are dueling in the Deserts of Nevada and California at 5 race tracks, in 7 Days.

This event is full of interesting activities, for the well organized racer;
*Performing at unfamiliar tracks.
*Competing against professional racers.
*Being prepared to be out on the road for a week.
*Running in endurance race conditions.
*Getting some great seat time!
*Winning recognition that you can brag to your friend and the
lady at the grocery store check out!
The Open Track Challenge began at the Spring Mountain Motorsports Park, in Pahrump, Nevada on Sunday, April 6th. On Monday, they traveled to nearby Las Vegas Motorspeedway. After the first two days of competition, Kevin and his Co-driver Tom Barnard have moved up two spots in the ranking! (Write up on our site on the two drivers; www.heritagemotorsportsracing.com)
They also have great support from Kevin's wife, Susan and crew members; Lew Groth - Crew Chief Steve Ragan, Gary Barbour and Liz Groth.
Kevin is participating in his Shelby Challenge Cobra in this 2nd Annual extravaganza, with his Co-driver Tom Barnard. Also competing, is one of our other friends (no longer a true friend, because he sold his Mustang and now runs a Z-06) Alan Chavis and Jonathan Blevins. This gives a great opportunity to run the Challenge Cobra for an extended day in, day out conditions. Already, one vehicle has "puked it's engine" (Mazda Miata) and miraculously it the engine was swapped, staying in competition with a minor fluid leak!
We are posting information on our team Web site as the event progresses this week. Check back often, or every day.
We wish Kevin and Tom all the best!
