The Oklahoma Chapter of the SVT Owner's Association will be holding a driving school at the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Training Center on Saturday, April 19th. This will be a great opportunity to show off your SVT while practicing car control and learning how to pick the right line. You'll get one-on-one instruction and a considerable amount of seat time for less money than an autocross!
0830 Registration.
0900 Start with introduce instructors with brief background of each.
0930 Informal classroom on the track. Includes basic skills that we are looking to teach. Ask if anyone is looking for skills in any special areas.
1000 Basic car setup with safety inspection of cars/helmets.
1030 Start basic skills.
1200 Lunch.
1300 Short briefing that includes areas of safety concerns on the road course. Set up road course.
1330 Road course orientation with instructor if needed followed by solo/instructor road course
1630 Event ends.
Bring a helmet (we will have some loaners), bottled water, snacks, lunch money or food, sunscreen, tire gauge, portable air tank, chairs, etc. No alcohol is allowed. Wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and a long sleeve shirt or over shirt.
Taking a few minutes to remove loose items from the interior, torque lug nuts to 120ft-lb (except focus), check the battery strap, and air tires to the max recommended pressure will reduce the time you spend in tech and preparing your car at the event.
Please email me at the address below for a registration form. Pre-registering will guarantee your slot and limit your time waiting in line. Come learn how to keep Brand-X in the rearview mirror!
