WELCOME TO THE SVTOA TEXAN CHAPTER FORUM!

Founded in 2002, the Texan Chapter of the SVT Owners Association is a Houston-area club dedicated to the appreciation of Ford SVT vehicles as well as other Ford-Family vehicles. Texan SVTOA members enjoy driving, modifying, racing and showing their vehicles. Our club centers around friendship, family, fun and all-around good times. Check our event calendar often and head out to see us - we love to get together and talk about our vehicles and make new friends. (Event calendar can be found on our local chapter website: http://www.texan-svtoa.com)

Our chapter of the SVT Owners Association is still in its infancy, however, we are headed into our second year and the future is looking bright! We have two events planned for 2004 so far and plan on adding many more. The first event of 2004 will be our Second Annual Bluebonnet Run which will take place Sunday, March 21, 2004. The second event planned is the SVTOA Southwest Region On-Track event at Texas World Speedway tentatively set for October 1-3, 2004.

Club members gather on the second Saturday of every month to shoot the breeze and meet new folks. We meet for dinner at a local restaurant at 5:00PM and then cruise to one of the current hot spots - Sam’s Club, Highway 6 and I-10 at 7:00PM. We select a different eatery each month, so be sure to check our forums and/or event calendar to see where we will be -- we would love YOU to come by and meet us!

Texan SVTOA sends out regular newsletters as well as email announcements for upcoming events. Please forward your email address and/or mailing address to Nancy Holland if you would like to receive our monthly newsletters. Nancy@Texan-SVTOA.com

We realize that there are other SVT/Ford/Cobra/Lightning/Mustang car clubs out there. In fact, Houston is saturated with clubs. We would like you to know that the SVT Owners Association is a National club and the only club backed by Ford Motor Company.

This forum is here for you to use as a tool to communicate with other SVT enthusiasts in our area! Although these forums are for the Texan Chapter of the SVTOA, the forums are open to everyone - not just chapter members. We invite you to use these forums to discuss any topic. Please feel free to post any suggestions or comments you may have in here in our forum. We want to hear from you!

Hey, I have a 2001 black F150 Lightning, stock w/ added Flowmasters & K&N air induction system. I have 65600 miles and the "CHECK ENGINE LIGHT" came on last night. It runs good and I checked the the normal hot spota, gas cap, hoses to supercharger, etc. Any ideas ? I have an appointment w/ Ford Monday for they're dianostic sensor deal. Unfortuntately, my expended warranty stpped in 2006. Thanks for anyones help. Jack
