During our very first meeting,
we discussed the possibility of a few "demo"
events.

My question is this --

what do you think about the idea of having a
Kenny Brown Extreme Matrix System install demo ?

We have the lift and all the tools to do it -
Tim could have part of it done, but show some of the welding and
details ......

opinions? suggestions?

Sounds good to me. I was under the impression that the KB extreme setup was a pretty involved installation. Wouldn't this be like a 3 hour tech session?

Was lookin to get that system, but couldn't find anyone to install it...:allhail:

I would be up for it if we could keep it to like 2 hours. That way people do not get tired. Maybe have ons started or completed and go over it with one that does not have it in yet like a comparrison... Just a thought...

Bonnie, that would be informative for sure, plus might get a chance to see your garage! I've got a question for you. I need to have my HPM driveshaft safety loop installed and I think I'm leaning to have it welded in, would your husband be interested in doing it?

well -
he wouldn't have to show the whole thing --
he could get it started before hand ....but y'all wouldn't have to stay until its finished. We could put one of our's up on the lift to show the final results.

Tim loves doing this !!

I think one of the important things is the "fire" hazard issue....
we have known and heard about several who take this job on themselves, or use someone who is not qualified only to end up doing some major damage caused by a fire....

anyway --- let's figure out when we'd like to do it.....

I agree !!

we'll get something figured out.....

he has done this plenty of times -- the more he does it the easier it gets for him....

we'll make it a short session

I think so --
hey,
send me an email and I will have Tim get back to you--

my email address is winddysvt@yahoo.com

--------

as far as the garage --
this one is only temporary, were going to put our house up for sale this fall --

buy a place southwest of here (don't worry, not too far) ... we need to get a few acres, nice big driveway, unincorporated and a bigger garage and a pole building (shop) in the back...

we need it bad....

Tim has just about all the tools that he needs to do everything we want -- but its hard because allot of them are down at the shop. We can't bring his trucks to the 'burbs, they weigh too much.... although, we have cheated a couple of times... :jawdrop: shhhhhhhh.......

Hopefully, we can get a two post lift in there this summer so that we don't have to do all the welding in my garage..... I'd rather have the mess at the shop...

 With my work schedule the only time I can plan on is Saturday! Bonnie it is very nice of you to volunteer Tim for all of this work. It will be interesting to see where you find a home to meet your requirements. We were lucky to find 1 1/2 acres and the house already had a 4 car garage. It is an 8 car now.
2 furnaces but no lift ( yet )! :allhail: Tim is one lucky guy.

nice place - awesome picture!!
are you in an unincorporated area?

and thx for the complement.... As far as Tim being "lucky", I think sometimes he disagrees .... its expensive having both of us loving cars as much as we do. It would be allot cheaper if I wasn't such a tom-boy..... always have been, always will be....

were going to be doing some driving around this summer looking for a good area to end up in...

what I'd really love to do is move out to DeKalb or Sycamore, but our son is going to be going to UTI in Glendale Hts., so we don't want to end up too far away.....

Bonnie, We are in unincorporated Winfield. Can't have an out building but we have some flexibility. My wife has her own Design and landscape business so she does a lot of creative things around our place.

We just signed up to refinance on a variable rate loan that is fixed for 10 years. At that time we'll decide if we go out toward Dekalb. Both of my boys are out that way and we like the area too.

It doesn't sound like a very good cruising week end in the forecast for this week end.:wtf: Maybe I will use the Cobra for parts storage for a few more weeks!

thx for the info Rick -- we'll be wanting to stop by sometime...

I'll be more than happy to take that Cobra off your hands for awhile so that you don't have to use it for storage... :D

any whoo.....

ok, now we need KB Extreme Matrix parts and a Cobra to do the install -- if that person has the parts already -- lets do it... if not -- I can get a pretty good discount from KB --

and a date --- we need a date --
how about a Wednesday night?

I am looking to order the extreme sub-system. I think I saw on the page it is going for $299. You mentioned something about a discount. Any little bit helps:cbra:

by the way .....

if your in Bartlett....

your pretty close to us!!
My brother lives in Bartlett off of Gerber road....

have you noticed that the cops are watching Army Trail road very closely now?

in between the high school and Gerber road?

not that I blame them......

Tim and I just love that curve after Petersdorf.... that one is a blast!!!

and the dip right after the light.....
we used to bottom out when we had the Eibach springs...

but now we have the KB set up and our Cobra's take the dip like it isn't even there...

like the one on the Elgin O'hare expressway -- just about a mile before it ends ... that one used to be a killer !!:fryem:

Before Petersdorf was Bartlett highschool the land was owned by a farmer whom I was friends with the eldest son. The father would let us go up and down the road anytime we wanted to test and tune our cars (many moons ago) , but now it is incorporated land and the cops cruise it a lot more... Sorry it took so long to respond work is hectic, and I will be ordering the system in a couple of weeks... I appreciate it, if we get a 15% discount I will get right from Kenny Brown...:tmb:
