Well I just got back from my first high performance driving school. The SCMC club put it on at Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw,SC. CMP is a great course with alot of room to escape to if you miss a turn. SCMC did a great job running the event for the two days.
Saturaday we ran in the rain so the track was slick but it gave me the chance to get to know the course at slower speeds. I only spun out one time. Sunday the morning session was still a little wet but the track dried by afternoon. Then we could see what we could do.
Being a novice I ran with 17 others in my group. We each had a instuctor asign to us for the weekend who rode with us each time we were on the track. My instuctor was Bryan Shugg a great teacher. We were limited to 95 mph on the straight aways and were not aloud to pass each other. This did not take away from the fun I had with my Lightning, there was only one other L running that weekend and he was in my group. I learn alot about what my truck and I can do.
If you ever get a chance to do a road course event do it you will get hook like I have and you will become a better drive also. I can not wait to go to another school.:)
