March 14 and 15 I will be going to a Performance Driving school at Carolina Motorsports Park. As part of the process of getting ready I had to have my truck inspected by a professional mechanic. Tom Griffin, Business Mamager at BBF, aranged to have the inspections done at Bob Bennett's on Saturday the 8th.
Now those of you who know me know that I am not the best dresser out there and the day I went for the inspection was no different. Anyway, from the time my wife and I pulled up in my "Dirty White Lighting" untill we left, we received nothing but top quality treatment from all we met. First from a saleman named Steve who asked us if he could fine someone for us or could he help us. I told him that I was here for the inspection and that I probably needed to speak to Tom. Long story short, Tom was a busy man but Steve found out what I needed to do and I proceeded to check in with Chris. Now Chiris is not just a service manager, but an SVT service manager. He knew why I was there and got things rolling on the inspection. I also pointed out my cracked fog light lens and ask if he could help get them replaced. I brought the truck with cracked lens. I had asked about them when I got the truck and I was told more or less that was just the way it was. Any how have never I been back to that SVT dealer.
Paul the mechanic that worked on my truck is a SVT Tech and knows the differerence between my truck and a F 150. He replaced one of my fog lights the Chris had shown him and saw that my other lens was also cracked. He only had one in stock so he used it and ordered the other one.
Chris was going to get my wife and I a loaner so we did not have to sit around the while the truck was being worked on.
Tom loaned me his car to use instead of the loaner which was nice, especial since I still had not even met him.
My wife and I killed the time at the zoo which is right down the road - a nice zoo! When they where done with the truck they called my moblie number and said come anf get it.
It was done in the time they said that it would take.
When I finally met Tom all I could do was tell him what a great place Bob Bennett's was.
I had never been to this dealer before, they treated me a if I was a long time customer. I told Tom that they had a new customer in me because of treatment that I received.
I live in Myrtle Beach, it is a 2 1/2 hour drive for me. I am willing to make the trip because it is worth it.
Thank you Tom and Bob Bennett Ford - you have put faith back in me about dealerships.

Brings a tear to my eye. That's how it should be and then some. And it's only an hour from my fiancee's house, too... BONUS!

I bought my current Cobra from them and they made it the best purchase experience I've ever had - and I've bought way too many cars (Fords mostly). Anyway, I was there today and considering coming back for a few minor warranty issues. After Beerkat's note, I think I'll make plans to take my car there on a Saturday and check out the zoo, too.
