LISVTOA Reminder Bulletin

· Department of Corrections. In the last newsletter I wrongly quoted that McCarville Ford would provide a 25% discount to SVTOA members on all Ford OEM Parts purchased on their website. The correct discount is 20% off. McCarville Ford’s website is www.McFord.com.
· Check out SVTOA’s New and Improved Public Message Forums. http://www.svtownersassociation.com/svtoaforums/ We highly advise you to sign up. It’s easy, fast and free. There are forum sections for our own Long Island Chapter, your specific SVT Vehicle, Buy/Sell, Tech…etc. LISVTOA will be posting valuable information relevant to the club and its members there.
· Sunday, October 27th 2002 >>> LISVTOA 1st Annual Fall Foliage Cruise. All LISVTOA are invited to this fun day when we bring out our cars and cruise upstate together. Guys, this is a great “dual-purpose date” event to bring your wife or girlfriend to. Think about it: a nice cozy day trip and beautiful scenery that you can share with your significant other while at the same time cruising with the guys and checking out some cool rides. The meeting spot will be at 10:00am in the northwest parking lot of Sears in Hicksville, which is located on route 107. Ikea and the Broadway Mall are across the street. We will definitely have maps/directions to hand out that day or earlier. We have discussed a probable destination to Bear Mountain State Park, but will hear other suggestions. As a club, we will likely stop somewhere to grab a bite to eat. More concrete detail of this event will be revealed/discussed at the October meeting. We are in the process of potentially inviting a New Jersey chapter of SVTOA to cruise along with us. The rain date will be set for November 3rd 2002.
· Tuesday, November 12th 2002 >>> LISVTOA’s Tuesday Nite Out at Hooters. Mark your calendars because LISVTOA is headed to Hooters of East Meadow to enjoy our cars, share some stories, devour some wings and among other things…ahem did I mention the admirable wait staff? The Tuesday Nite Out meeting time is 7:30pm. Come on down and alleviate some stress from the daily grind & have a blast with your fellow SVT owners. Hooters of East Meadow is located on the westbound side of Hempstead Turnpike just west of Merrick Ave. This event will be discussed at the October meeting.
