I noticed in the contacts field on the website a contacts list for service manager, parts, etc. ..Are these the local ford contacts?

We got our 03 cobra out of town, the transmission is tough to get in and out of 1st and reverse about half the time. Wanted to have this checked out and am curious which dealers in tulsa have the best service for SVTs.

Thanks

since the contacts on the svtoaok (www.svtoaok.com) website indicate the city, i'm guessing that's not what you're talking about. try our local site- as far as i know the dealer contact names and numbers are current.

These contacts are at the Ford of Tulsa South location, unless otherwise indicated. I have not verified the Service Advisor in the last 6 months, but the Service Manager is still a good contact. If you find a problem with one of the numbers, be sure and let me know and we will get it updated.

I always have Donnie Hunter at the Tulsa South location take care of my car and I've not been disappointed once. I think he must own a nice car himself because he makes sure mine is treated with real care. Donnie usually works every other Sat and all during the week. He doesn't give you any grief about loaner cars like some people do, and he won't wash your car because he says the washers there will ruin your paint job...again he's looking out for ya. As far as technicians go I'm not sure if the people working on my rig are SVT certified or not, but they seem to do a decent job there. There is another guy there though to look out for. He just swore up and down that my car needed 5w-20 when SVT specifically stated 5w-30. Try to have Donnie write up your order if you go there.

edit: after telling you all this, Donnie Hunter is no longer there. I dunno the situation but he no longer works there (they let the good people go I guess). It's like starting all over again trying to build trust with them. The guy who worked on my car today for some warranty issues thought I was BS'ing him when I said I have an SVT and wanted a loaner. He actually went behind me and asked one of his cohorts. Avoid Ford South if you can, I am no longer trustful of them and won't be until they do things right a couple of times.

This is an update particularly important for Tulsa folks. I called SVT and they told me that Ford of Tulsa (all locations mind you) have the following SVT qualified techs.

Loretta Decker
Micheal Whitney
Robert Dillion (Bob Dillion?)
Bradley McClure
Richard McCulley

what I don't know is what locations each tech is at. I have a suspicion that NONE of them are at the Ford South location cause they don't seem to know SQUAT about my car. Please do us a favor and if you know any of the above names, please post here about which location they are at. We need to start taking our warranty business to the locations that have a clue. I strongly advise you all to AVOID the Ford South location if you can help it.

Just did some calling around for some of these techs. So far, none are at the Sheridan location or the BA location. Michael Whitney is at South but he's been promoted to a Service manager. Bradley McClure is also there. I'm taking it in tonight to have it looked at tomorrow but I still don't really feel all that encouraged. But we will see. I'm also having them look at my engine. The stupid thing is leaking oil on the passenger side near the water pump. This is on a 2000 with 28k miles:wtf: :bash: NOT HAPPY:rant:

well, bradley didn't work on my car when it was in, some other guy did the upgrade. It might pay to just call the FOT central number and ask for a number and location. It would also be interesting to know if these guys are up to date on SVT training or if their training predates Contours and Focuses.
