All:
Well, I know I have been very quiet lately, but we are almost ready to be recharted to be an official local of the SVTOA. I have to refax some missing information Monday AM, and we should be all set!
Few things:
Does anyone want to volunteer and be an officer with Ken Walder and me? So far, it’s just the two and Joe running the show and we sure can use some help! Ken and I have some really great ideas for meets/events and just plain old get togethers, but we need your help! Drop me an email at carsla AT optonline DOT NET or, Ken at dragonsmail AT yahoo DOT com to volunteer or if you have any suggestions for us. Don’t be bashful, the more suggestions, the more fun we all have.
Next, we need to get an official count of members, be it local and national SVTOA. If your membership has lapsed with national, you need to renew your membership by calling (866) 377-8862. The people at SVTOA, once renewed, will send you a cool poster and some other little goodies, including your new membership number and ID. Once you get the new membership number, please drop me a line and let me know, so I can update our records.
Also, Ken and I (Ken doesn’t know yet) are going to be designing some business cards that everyone can give out to not only SVT vehicles, but any other performance Ford vehicle. We will distribute those at our second meeting of this year.
Speaking of meetings, I would like to hold our first meeting of 2003 the 2nd week of March. I would like to get a feel of who can attend so we can better decide where and when to have it. I know most people work until 6p on Fridays, so I would like to hold the meeting sometime over the weekend. Also, all of the meetings will have a rolling location, in an effort to allow the most amount of members to attend. The more people that attend, with more ideas make the club work for all of us. Plus, the more ways we can make money, the more we can spend it! I am hoping to get us all enrolled in a one day driving school at Limerock, with professional instructors for all different driving levels. If we can make some money, the club can help subsidize it, but that discussion will be saved for the meeting.
Thanks!
