Greg,
Since you have a 347 as well, do you have a problem with the idle. My idle continues to surge. I have the X303 cam and have done the PIH conversion to a '90 computer. I know that the cam is "kinda big", but I set the idle to 1000 and it has not help. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Todd

I have a bigger cam then you do, my lift is near .590 and I have a tighter LSA then the X cam has, but I don't seem to have an idle surge problem. It might surge a LITTLE bit when the car is stone cold, but once it warms up, I have no trouble.
Have you tried adjusting the brass screw on the TB? Have you tried "re-clocking" your mass air?
I have extensive mods- ported heads, Pro-M 77 mass air, 30 lb inj's, AFM powerpipe, etc. I also have the FMS EFI Extender (Much better solution then the PIH in my honest opinion)
You also want to check for any leaks in the intake tubing, and also make sure that your PCV valve is seated properly. You also could have a vaccum leak of some kind. Surging idle can be caused by a lot of different things, so this may take some investigation on your part.
If it matters any- I have had a Crane 2031, an AFM B-2 and the current cam is a TFS Stage-2, and I have enjoyed good driveability with all of them.
Hope you can figure this one out...
Greg
