OK SVT guys, lets have the straight scoop here. We all spent a lot of money for these cars and we deserve to know when the infamous and evasive CHROME WHEELS will be available to us ? All we ever here is \" nobody really knows when they are coming\". Whats up with that ? On the other boards this topic is burned out but since we are starting new here, I figured it can\'t hurt :bash:

I\'m sure we will get an answer when we can post under \"Talk To SVT\".

I\'m staying with the painted wheels.I like the brushed look.

Latest word is that Chrome Wheels will \"START\" being available before the first of the year. This does not mean that everyone who wants them will get them before the first of the year.

The paint is wearing off my wheels. Anyone else have this problem?

If it\'s any consolation, I heard that Ford will let you keep the old wheels for $250.00 Those who race their 03\'s will like that.

I was noticing last night that the factory polished/painted wheels don't show the brake dust as bad as chrome will. My wheels didn't look that bad last night until I ran my finger across the painted part. DOH, they are dirty.

Cool bannana.:bna

Edz -

Have you tried these pads on the rear ? If so how do they compare to OEM ?

Thanks
Mike

I'll give someone $125.00 for 2 of them (or maybe $250.00 for all 4) if they plan to make the switch and don't plan to keep the painted ones. (I'd like some spares) :D

Mike, I have them, feel the same, but much less dust. I have not road raced the car so I cannot tell you how they perform under severe conditions.

I won't be on the track anytime soon, so it sounds like a plan.
The past two weeks until this past weekend, I couldn't wash my car. When I went to clean the wheels, I was just amazed just how filthy the rear wheels were with brake dust.
:omfg:

So, thanks for this bit of info; I'm going for it.

Just an update on the chrome wheel topic from another board. Check out the link below.

http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=21461

What they mean by "near future" is still a big unknown however. Probably will be done based on delivery date.

What would be nice is if SVT would come on the board here and confirm this thread and maybe clarify the wheel distribution policy. What do you say there Greg ?
