good news... you have forged pistons.... but stay away from the rev limiter, and traction control :D

I am learning to stay away from the rev. limiter. You gotta be quick to get out of first though. Will traction control hurt it? I was pretty sure I had forged slugs. After all Ford built this one to have a huffer on it.

traction control isn't as bad as hitting the rev limiter, but traction control if it engages hard has been known to remove fuel, which is bad bad bad

I will buy that. I never hit t.c. that hard! If I feel the need I just make that little yellow light turn on in the console.:spinem: :tmb:

OUCH !!!

According to my most recent dyno-pull, my 03 Cobra torque peak is right at 5000 rpm-5600 rpm. No need to slam it any farther than that. ( mods = CAI, 2.93 pulley, X-pipe exhaust : 444 rwtq ) I floated some valves in my 85 GT a long time ago. Now I have MSD with 6000 rpm limiter.

yep.... same problem I have.... with the D1 and my pulleys I can go safely to 7500, so that's good enough for me.... even tho' the motor can handle 8500+
