I am decided on the gear, and s/c I want to install, but my dilema is where to go... Does anyone have an opinion on where to go to have these items installed (local). I live in Bartlett just to let u know where I'm from. My other question is should I by my gear, and s/c and have the shop install or buy it from the shop and have them install it. I am looking for cost effetive ways since I didn't win the 125mil, yet... Thanx inadvance
Best Regards:huh: :wtf: :knock:

Dagwood and SJCobra could tell you all about Street Stuff in Addison which is not too far from you.
Buying your parts yourself saves a little cash, but it can also cost you big if there is a problem with the part. Now if you purchase your mods from your installer, he takes responsibility for fit and function. I wouldn't mail order any parts I don't plan on installing myself. Just my .02 :D

I agree with petsnake, sometimes the shop will charge more for the mods then mail order, but they also charge less usually to install parts you buy from them. and also, they take responsibility on fit and function, but where ever you go, make sure they have the ability to dyno tune/burn chips, for utmost reliability/performance.

I have a friend that owns a shop and he calls people who bring in their own parts "bottom feeders". You'll be much better off to spend the maybe extra $20 for the gear at the shop you pick and have 1 throat to choke if there is a problem later!:bash:

I had my vortech installed at Street Stuff in Addison. I had them order everything that they were going to install. They said that I could order it if I wanted ( as long as it was Vortech ) but the price was pretty much the same.
I am generally pleased with their service. However, I have had trouble with the chip that vortech burned. I have ordered a custom chip but havn't got it yet since my car is put away till spring.
To answere your question I would let who ever is doing the install order the parts. I would shop around though. I've heard of a place in Naperville that is suppose to be good but I don't know the name. good luck:tmb:

Yeah I forgot about them, that would be Finish Line Performanance web site (http://www.flpexhaust.com/)
I had attended a midwestfords.org dyno day there a couple years ago. Seems like custom exhaust on Vipers & Corvettes is there claim to fame, but they are a full service facility. They even still have pics of my ride on there dyno site:)
