brake upgrade??

I have an '03 Lightning and I was wanting to upgrade the brake rotors and calipers. Looking to bolt on slotted rotors and such. My question is, is the upgrade worth it. Don't get me wrong, my Lightning stops in a hurry when I need it to, was just wanting to get a little extra. Might as well start thinking about it now before it comes time to replace them anyways. Any help/opinions would be great.

Well why do you want to upgrade? The stock brakes are good but the biggest problem is heat. I run the road courses and so far stock brakes with air ducts is the best. There is a Brembo kit I'd love to have but at $3500 a axle I can stop just fine. Now I have up graded to Hawk pads witch I do like alot. I'm just not sold on slots as of yet. Its all in what you are wanting to do.
