I'm looking into the 3M Scotchcal paint protectant film for my car . I called 3M Canada and was told that the closest retailer and installer was Trim-Line. Of course, there aren't any in my area. There's Brantford, but I'm lost anywhere not east or west of here.
There's Trim-Line in Brampton and another in Burlington. Just wondering if you've heard good/bad things about any of these places?

Problem comes in installation. If you aren't careful, you're going to have a really ugly piece of film on your hood. (Think of tint jobs gone bad) :(

Do you know of anyone who's had this done yet? I'm intrigued. This is first time I've ever heard about this stuff. Wonder how it would look on a black car?

lauraq has had it on her car for a while now. I've seen the difference it can make.
There's a 2-door, last-gen Mercury Topaz that used to be at my GO Train station. They put a short film on the leading edge of their car. It was just a base-coat paint (bright red). You can see how the film protects the paint by the unoxidized portion of it.

Sean couldn't help you?????
Yes I have it on my car. It does make a hugh difference. You can see the line where it stops but not that much, as long as you clean out the white wax residue, (unless of course you use Zaino then that its not a problem).

Sean was great. He gave me a quote and everything. Problem is that he's in Newmarket. I'm not sure how long of a drive it is.
I just got off the phone with a few places. The prices vary a lot. I'm tempted to just drive out there just because of word of mouth. I just spoke to the place in Burlington, and was told they use the material in bulk. The place in Brampton said they had pre-cut sheets.
So now...I'm utterly confused  :wtf:

Sean cuts his for the specific vehicle.
Newmarket from Hwy 7/400 is no more than a half hour probably 20 mins or so. Not really all that far. If you did it on a weekend, the traffic would be good.
