I get lots of Devil comments and some from people I don't even know. I've been considering personal plates just to loose the DMV supplied devil reference. :wtf:

I was bummed when I went to order mine. My initials are BAH. My truck plate is BAH 1. My motorcycle plate is BAH 2. I wanted my Cobra plate to be BAH 3, but it was taken! Who would take BAH 3!? So, I tried various Cobra, SVT , Mustang combinations, which turned out to also be taken.

After everything was said and done, I was able to get BLOWN V8

When the car was ordered I was already thinking of plenty of choices but apparently there were a lot of others doing the same thing. So, my third choice is what I got.........Cobra 03. Looks awesome with that MGW chrome license plate frame with a Cobra on each side of it. And now with the Stainless bumber letters for Cobra it really stands out. I don't think anyone will mistake it for a standard Mustang.

Hey everyone: I ordered my plates the day after I drove my Cobra home. They came the same time the paper work came thru for the regular plates. I had wanted 03 COBRA; but it was taken. So I went for VENON..yep, taken. I did get my 3rd choice. "VENUM". I get a lot of, "Love your plate". After all, isn't that what it is all about.

I waited till my modifications were verified on the dyno to produce more than 500 flywheel horsepower, "SC" for supercharged and the bumper reads ( as we all know ) COBRA. So as you look at the car from the rear it says, 500HP-SC COBRA. I can hardly wait till someone smartmouths me at a light and I pull out the dyno sheet to shut them up !!!

A week? Wow your DOT is quick. Here in PA it takes at least 90 days for personalized plates - usually longer. The DOT workers out here are SLOW SLOW SLOW, when they're not on a break or vacation, then the energy emerges.

I hope the wait isn't much longer

mojo you should sell your svt and get a buick century or something so that you can blend in with the rest of the world. I think that svt owners are a little different from the rest. We payed more for a performance car and already stand out from the rest! My plates NOILATS confuse most people and make them wonder. I am not after bling bling, I just want to personalize my cobra, it is not just a number!:rant: I hope that you love your car because even with its' issues it is one bad a$$ ride.:cbra:

Bottom line: to each his own.

Hmmm, my first rod was a 68 Chevelle, then a '70 Rocket Cutless, then a Camaro....on and on until my '03 Snake, which is MY THIRD Cobra. So you see, this is not my first rod nor will it be my last. I've never felt the NEED to advertise. My ego was secure driving my car. Anybody who needs to know, WILL find out soon enough. I prefer the sleeper to the "hello, look at me" look. That gives me an advantage over you at every street light because winning is everything.

As far as paying the DMV, I'm certainly NOT paying the government extra to personalize my plates. That's makes no sense to me. Only when I started driving did I think about memorizing my plate, but so many cars later, it's just a fee to drive the kind of car I want. Plain and simple. As far as I'm concerned, you personalizers are suckers for paying extra to the government. :D

I was at PSAB for 4 months, Feb to Jun 97. Walked to work about 4 miles from the tents, hated riding the bus. Except for the dust weather wasn't bad until about May, would have to drink at least a gallon of fluids a day (No Beer except for the Brits and the French, they could also leave the reservation. Osam had bounty on American heads). When I left 7 Jun @ 05:00 it was 105°F no sun it was still dark and no AC at the terminal. I finished my 20 31 March, 01.

Oh, man, spiced, U da' man! Trailing you on the 20, too. You're right, it ain't bad swinging with the wing either, but I miss by brother Marines up north. Only had a quick visit the other day and the boys are ready. Don't think you'd recognize PSAB now in the least. I can't say how many are here, but it's getting crowded. Bus-HA! It's still the little things that make your day, especially not having to take the bus. Thanks for the good words.
