Hello everyone,
I'm new to this site and I have learned a lot about my new car (a red 03 cobra) and why my transmission makes certain noises that I was not used to. This is a great site. :allhail:
Here is a quick question.
"Does adding these parts void the warranty of the car?"

"... a K&N intake, X-pipe and Lightning nose piece ( blower ). "

thanks in advanced.

Cris

Great plates Cris. Not sure about the warranty issue. A lot of threads are related to what you are asking about though. Just look around the 03 area and you will find it. Welcome aboard.:bna

The Lightining nose piece or or pully changes resulting in more boost will void warranty if any internal damage to motor is done. They will attribute it to the increased boost. Intake and exhaust mods are generally OK.

I talked to the SVT Guys (02/03/03)and asked about what would and would not void the warranty. This is what I was told

We at SVT do not make that determination, I would contact your
dealer and ask them on what mods would not void the warranty.

Then I pressed him and he believes that

Changing the pulley or chip would void the warranty

K&N filter and Cat backs might not void warranty.

I would call them direct and see what type answers you get
and if in your favor GET IT IN WRITING

Any mod that might void your waranty would have't to cause the problem. I'f you change the pulley and the air conditioner stops working ford will fix it under warranty. They can't just look at your car and say changed pulley no warranty for you.If the motor blows up because of the pulley , you have a problem. Rachrse
