I've heard from a bunch that Mustangs don't have good resale value and even the dealer didn't think leasing was viable option as the cost is based on resale value.
Knowing that, I said the same thing, to heck with it, it's my toy. I don't think anyone who bought an 03 Cobra...did so for resale value.
Now if Ford discontinues the 390 hp powerplant or lowers it..due to say...product liability issues....expect the Cobra's value to skyrocket...I am still surprized that Ford let this 03 be built with this level of power...and at a price that is within reach ...

i didn't buy this car for resale, as i think that is ridiculous to buy a car for that purpose. i was going to sell because i could get rid of a payment and figured it was the easiest of my possesions to sell. but after testing the market, or lack of, i decided it too much a pain in the ass and would rather have it. MARKET IS SOFT.

Market is soft ........so enjoy. I've lost so much money in market since 2000, that it gives me ulcers. However, I have my 03....:)

Yes, it is soft. The two dealers here in Mobile and the dealer in Pensacola where I bought all have 03's sitting in inventory. I did notice that they have decreased, but not eliminated, their attempts to add additional mark up.
I got mine for less than sticker. Not much less, though.

Hey, I bought my 03 because the market was bleeding my dry. At least this way I can enjoy the depreciation. Which I might add is a lot less than the market was doing.
There may be a time when you see us by the side of the road with this sign:
