:( Took the blue rocket to dealer last week for: rattling heat shield, leaking cowl?, squeaking seat. They fixed the rattle and leak (we'll see on the leak when it rains again). They wanted to send the car to a local upholstery shop and have them strip the seat to inspect the frame. At this point I said no, let's see if it gets worse.
Anyone else with the sqeak? If so, what did dealer find and what was the fix. I saw one post on MyFordFocus saying it was loose rivets in the seat base.

I heard there's a "bar" that goes along the bottom of the seat. Some ZX3 owners have tried spraying silicone lubricant where it meets the side seat frame. Somehow, that worked for them.
Actually, you may want to try seeing if the front cover of the seat track is loose. I somehow had this annoying squeaking coming from somewhere. I don't recall how, but I put my and there, felt it vibrate and heard it squeak. Just a matter of removal and replacing the cover.

Mine was sqeaking with every turn, but of course when I picked it up from the dealer, they said "we don't hear anything". I tried hanging on the seat back and pushing it from side to side to show them, since that duplicated the squeak before, but it wasn't making any sound. On the way home, it started up again! I took off the plastic cover on the side of the seat bottom frame and sprayed WD-40 everyplace there was a moving part or adjoining part on the left side of the frame and it hasn't squeaked since. That was 7 months ago.

I've also done the WD40 and my squeak is gone. My dealer guys heard the squeak but wanted to start taking the seap apart to investigate. They were convinced lubrication would not cure it. I plan to stop by and let them know what many have done to fix this....

i had the same problem. they wanted to give it to an upholstery shop as well. but then they just ordered a new set of seat rails and it was fine. make sure they are SVTF seat rails. they ordered the wrong kind at first, for me.
