I haven't had a chance to get to the strip yet, but I did get chance to check out 0-60 times. The best I could get before the gears and tires was 5.4 and now I pulled off a 4.6 0-60:bna . With .8 of a second off of the 0-60 I can't wait to see what the gears and tires will shave off the 13.41 1/4 time. And this was with 30 #s in the DRs, 18#s at the strip ought to be just awesome:spinem:

Well, since you have a '99, just be sure to have a set of half-shafts in your trunk! ;) :D

Well, any racer knows that 60 foot time makes or breaks the run, so you stand to see some considerable improvement...
Remember- run those drag radials in the 18 PSI range, and do a considerable burnout as well. What I do is drive around the water box, back in the water slightly, then pull forward out of the water, and start my burnout in 2nd gear. I get the DR's smoking nice and hot, then drive out of the burnout.

Good luck man, let us know how you do!!!

Greg

I picked up .5 ET with my stock Bullitt on Nitto DR's best run was 1.83 60' 13.73 @ 99 mph.

I put the 275-40x17 DRs on another set of the ROH wheels I have on the car now. That way no one knows when I switch 'em:cool: .

That works. I would get a 15 or 16" wheel with 245's just remember to much tire may slow you down. I'm sure you will do just fine with your wheel/tire combo. Good Luck keep us updated.
