This is not a flame post so if that’s what your looking for you will be disappointed. I bought my 03 Cobra Dec 7th and am still waiting for my membership packet, I know its too soon but I really just wanted my reg # so I could get signed on as a member. I called SVTOA and they didn't even have me in their computers yet, apparently Ford sends down new SVT buyers info only every so often (i.e. every 2 months or even only every quarter). So SVTOA took my info and will process my membership from there wooo hooo, good on them. Once they send the info to the fulfillment place that assembles the packets I will be assigned a reg # and should be able to call tomorrow or next week and get it. Shortly thereafter my packet should be in the mail of course allow 6 weeks for delivery but at least I know its coming. Thanks SVTOA these guys and gals are great and the service was outstanding. So if you have not received any info yet just call, be civil and they will help you all they can.:tmb: :) :cbra:

I know there are still alot of people waiting that's one of the reasons I posted this topic, just call the SVTOA # and they will get you started if they don't have you already. Ford is apparently really slow at get new names to SVTOA.:bash:

I purchased our car back in October and we are still waiting. Not even a thank you from the dealer letter. Svota finally called and confirmed our purchase and granted me a id to enter the site. Just wanted you guys to know your not alone.

about taking care of their "special SVT customers". I also bought my 03 back in October of 2002 and have not received my kit. In fact, I paid more than list price but not the ridiculous mark-up ( most were averaging $ 5000.00 ) and the Sales Manager never even shook my hand or said "Thanks for purchasing from blah, blah Ford" when I took delivery of the car !!!!! Hey, I sold Chevys for a year and when someone bought a ZO6 Vette, it was a big deal. They took their picture, Managers came out to greet and say so long to the new owner. They gave the new owner a really nice potfolio-type owners manual with full color spreads of the car with Tech info, etc. just the works ! I never even got a Cobra brochure. I guess I was lucky to get my window sticker.

Please call this number (866) 377-8862 on Monday and talk to a SVTOA rep, I did and they took care of me no problem and my packet should be in the mail. I didn't get home in time to call tonight but they should also have my membership number listed. If greg gets on this weekend he should be able to look me up in the system not that I'm asking him to (hint hint). MadMax sorry your experiance was so bad Ford probably has not sent SVTOA your info yet so just call the # above and they will register you over the phone. Remember SVTOA only works off the info Ford gives them so be nice. The way I understand it as soon as the dealer sells you a car that sale is sent to somewhere in Ford and Ford then processes that info, now what actually happens between the dealer and Ford is anybody's guess. Good Luck fellow members

Hey, 127, my message was not in the correct light. What I was trying to say was the Ford independent dealer needs to work on his SVT customer treatment. I have no heartburn with the National SVT set up. In fact I did call Dave Geraci at SVT and he was totally nice. By the way, I 'm a loyal member of my local Tampa SVT chapter and enjoy hanging out with my kind !! Peace.

Cool glad you got it all worked out, I know what your saying when it comes to some Ford dealers though I've seen some real bad ones. Take care

Mine took about 8 weeks to arrive. Since it was during the summer, and I was attending lots of car shows, the time seemed to go faster.

Purchased my car early October, received my packet yesterday. They did, however, give me my login and membership number early when I called. My card says I have been a member since November.

Madmax....how about this....my Ford dealer always makes sure the customer meets the service manager, service writers, etc. Took my photo standing next to my new SVTF (with the dealer sign in the background, of course) and sent me a nice color calendar with the photo on it. :D

Now, I've bought about 10 cars from the same salesman at this dealer so they treat me pretty good.

This is a dumb question, but I figured I ask anyway.

What is the membership packet? Could you please provide details. Thanks.

When you buy a SVT Vehicle your are suppose to receive a one years membership to this site and also you receive some kind of packet with membership info and possibly a key chain, pen or hat not sure have never received mine. I guess I shouldn't mind so much I did get an awesome car, maybe it's because the weather has been too bad to drive it.:( After the production year is over I hear you also receive a certificate and production # of your vehicle. :D

From past experience, the membership packs are mailed once a month. I think it usually is at the end of the month. With the holidays and the move, they may be running a bit behind. Give them a call or send a direct email for a quick answer.

Thats just it, I have called. The first time 9 Jan I called they told me I would have my info the next day and to call back well I gave them a couple extra days 15 Jan just to make sure, call again and no # I was told to call back. Called again 5 Feb was told they had my member ID but no password and no my packet had not been sent yet. I was real nice to everyone really I was, so how do I go from call the next day to get your # to wait 6 weeks then wait another 6 weeks especially when others that have bought their cars after or about the same time have all their stuff and have had it for some time. SVTOA sorry did I Pi$$ someone off? Didn't mean to.:wtf:
