Buying a 1993 Cobra

I want to make sure the engine in the car is the original engine. Are there any numbers on the engine that I can confim that the engine is the real deal? I know the letter in the vin is a D but I need more info to confirm the engine is real. Thanks

Possibly check on the back side of the engine block rearward of the intake manifold to see if there is a stamped VIN that should correspond with the cars number. I know that was the case with older late model Mustangs, and it might hold true.

The only problem with that is that is very difficult to see the area without a lit scope. Good luck and keep us posted.

I know that was true with the older Mustangs maybe it still is the same with the fox stangs. I really like this Cobra, and it would suck to find out that I was scammed, there are plenty of people out there that would do that.
