If you had the ability to make a SVT Focus commercial, what would it be like? What would your storyboard be? What music would you use? Let's hear your ideas!

Rage against the Machine (song from the movie Matrix) storyline would be rally inspirated.

I would make a new version of Prodigy's "Smack My Beyatch Up" with video of me kicking some Cobra but on the racetrack....

Oh Wait... I already did that at the Lonestar Track event.

LOL!!!!:D

Definitely a trip through the Dragons Tail in the Fall with the leaves blowing up behind me. AC/DC Thunderstruck.

I think the Rally theme would be a cool idea. It would go something like this:

Some Rally Foci are slinging mud everywhere as they manuver through turns. Then cross over to an SVT version zipping around (on pavement of course!). While this transition occurs, a narrator will explain how these rally cars actually resemble their production counterparts (unlike many other race cars). Of course the man blurting out this information can't be just some shmuck. It will have to be someone with an amount of credibility, like John Coletti or Bill Ford. This concludes to a blank screen with the Blue Oval (of course) sparkling in the center. Right below that will read "Special Vehicle Team," to inform the potential buyer that this is not just a typical "mode of transportation."

As for music that sets the mood for this advertisement... Well, honestly I'm not sure. I know that this type of car is marketed toward a younger crowd, however there are quite a few older guys that love these cars just as much as I do (I'm 21 by the way). We'll have to wait for more people to vote on my poll to determine what tune will be jamming. (If you haven't done this do so ASAP). I can, however, tell you that Rage, Prodigy or AC DC are probably not the best musical selections for this market.

One major factor we must consider is:
Many people in North America don't even know what a Rally is. Of course someone considering buying an SVT product will probably be somewhat familiar with it (along with pretty much any type of racing at that). This will generate some curiosity, and effectively hold the attention of the viewer for the entire 30 second comercial. Along with some relatively fast paced upbeat music (definately not rock or heavy metal!).

:) Well what do you think about that? :)

Techno music just seems to fit the car like a glove.

I would think that maybe a beginning like some vintage Ford racing footage would be cool. Not Nascar or NHRA or even rally for that matter, but Le Mans, the '60s....Old Mach 1's and GT-40's tearing up the tracks. Then maybe a a cool cut in to the SVTF on a road course, doing what it does best.

While the camera is following the car around the corners at tire height. I quick pan around to the rear to show a hapless Si and perhaps a glimpse of bright yellow Dodge in the pits with the hood up would be a cool way to end it.

Maybe a quick shot of some text that reads " Not since Thanksgiving has anything been this fun to carve up. "
