This is for all you speed guru's out there. Can someone tell me or give me a list of all the recommended bolt on mods for Gen2 Lightnings. Mods without having to make engine changes and no NOS. Now with that being said, does anyone know how much horsepower this adds. I'm looking for the maximum horsepower these trucks can have. I'm also looking for engine/flywheel type horsepower vs rear wheel horsepower. Last question, how much does it cost to add all of these mods....
Thanks
Jim

Ok, Let's make this easier. How much horsepower can be produced with all the bolt ons available and how much does it cost. Exclude engine changes and NOS. Pulleys up to 6#'s acceptable.
Make it easier how about the horsepower you all have got on your trucks and how much did that cost. Don't tell me that we have people putting on all these mods and spending all this money and don't know what their getting ...

I don't have a dyno run on my truck YET. I don't have a butt load of mods either. But you know how it goes......I will refer you to another persons vehicle. I have first hand knowledge of what can be done with just bolt-ons after riding with Dave Laxton in his truck.....it's a 99' with a 02 PCM with 6lbs of extra boost and about every bolt-on minus a new s/c or extrude honing the upper intake plenum (as far as I know about the honing). He ran an 11.81 @ 112.61 mph 1/4 mile at stock weight with a headwind. Hopefully he'll best this time on Jan 19th when we all go to Darlington (but he will be on the bottle then).
But I have done a little search.......and about the average I have see is 428 rwhp and 532 rwtq with a 6lber and I assume most every other mod out there that you speak of.
Hope I was of SOME help.

Jimmy,
Thanks for the reply. So if I figure this right. The 99 had 340 hp stock or about 300 rwhp give or take. So for the 2001L like mine this would equate to 380hp stock or about 340 rwhp. So an improvement of about 120 or 130 hp at the rear wheels with all mods or somewhere around 470 to 480 hp at the rear wheels. I'm still interested in what that might cost. I may just call Dave on the phone that might be easier. I'm just researching the price for the hp and is it worth it. All you read about is mods, mods, mods on this site. I haven't added any to mine and I want to know what kind of bang for the buck you get with it.
Thanks
Jim

No actually a 99-00 L had 360hp vs. your 380. The guy with the 99 I spoke about has done everything plus to upgrade to 02 standards. But I was not even referring to his truck. I said that is what I could find on a Gen 2 with 6lbs of boost on average with most all bolt ons minus a new S/C or N20.
So take those #'s and add approximately 21% to the rwhp/rwtq
#'s and that should give you the Flywheel #'s.
Any more ?'s on this topic and a whole lot more, I would reccommend checking out F-150world, and the NLOC.
