Cobra Jet 5.4 Engine rated at 400hp?????

I see the new Cobra Jet has what appears to be the GT500 engine and its only rated at 400hp. Was this all done through tuning? What happens when the NHRA really finds out with a simple file update its making 550 hp? Should be interesting after the first few events to see who starts crying for a change.

Going from 400 hp to 550 hp with a few file updates caught my attention. Why not share what these few file updates would be?

I do not think it has a super charger like the GT500 has. It is NA 5.4.

THe CJ is rated at 425 H.P. by NHRA and it is supercharged Let the fun begin

The 400-425 horse 2008 Cobra Jet Engine is listed as an M-6007-CJ on some reference material i have. I bet it will be available through ford racing dealers soon. You just have to find an up to date FR dealer that could order you one.

In stock eliminator qualifying at Phoenix Gary Stinnett's AA/SA CJ ran a 9.81 et at 133 mph. Big improvement over the low 10 second times at the winternationals.
