2010 Ford SVT Raptor Experience at 2009 Detroit Auto Show
At the 2009 Detroit Auto Show, Ford brought this evil Uncle out of the closet to wow show goers and really give them a taste of the good-life at a time when frankly they could use it. The SVT Raptor Experience features a ride-on video simulator that is really an attention getter.

Show goers will sit in an actual leather captain’s chair from the truck and drive it through an off-road course. That seat is mounted upon a computer hydraulically actuated platform that gives a bone jarring sense of realism to the experience as you pilot the SVT Raptor through the muddy track.
The 2010 SVT Raptor will be on the market late this summer with a truly race inspired off-road suspension by Fox. The truck is mechanically different from its F-150 brethren with a 7” wider track, different bodywork all around and a really snappy two-tone leather interior.
The SVT Raptor is the first SVT marketed product in quite a while and will start the year off with a 5.4 3V V8 engine. Late in the year, you will be able to option the truck with the all new big-bore 6.2 liter Ford truck engine that is said to have about 400hp.
