Man, those look really nice! I KNOW they look better in person than in the pics too.
One question though...why was the officer of the law visiting? ;) :hehe:

Seriously though, they had dropped the patrol car off to get a big dent from a local Bambi fixed. Good eyes... , I hadn't even paid any attention to that...sure I'll get a few comments now...lol

Well, it is funny. I have a clean driving record, and really am pretty tame when I drive around town, but I think I am beginning to get a bad rep in a certain local county. The last two times over there I've had chats with the local law enforcement officers. Man, there never USED to be that many cops around there! ;) :D As a result, I SEE those cars now. :haha:

If you don't mind me asking, how much did that flame job set you back? I've often thought of ghost flames for my black Snake in a silver mist, but I've always figured I would spend the money on parts that means it goes faster. ;) :D

Ken....don't mind at all you asking. The whole job ran $800 and covered a full ghost flame job, but that could have been $500 if I had went with the flames in pinstripe rather than the project I asked for. The big difference in cost comes from the lessened work involved in the pinstripe taping. This would have not have required fully taping the flames but rather just flames in pinstripe and then you spray the flame color over the stripes. Remove the stripes afterwards and your flame is your original color, with the overspray outlining the flames. I went more traditional in that mine required fully taping the flames and thus, they are in the top coat color, your original color makes the background. Hope this is a clear explanation, it was a bit hard for me to understand until he painted me a chair using both methods. If you anywhere near my neck of the woods, this guy I used is truly an artist and I honestly think you would get charged quite a bit more in the bigger cities (ours is 80,000 so it isn't that small but we are in Arkansas is everything is small town). Let me know if I can help you in any way. I may have just lucked out too! :spinem:

Hey Matt...sorry, for some reason, my permissions were such that I couldn't post earlier today, and I just got back from the track.
I like those flames a LOT! But $800 would buy a bunch of go fast goodies, so they will have to wait a while! ;) Maybe after I get this beastie running where I want it, a nice silver mist ghost flame on the black Cobra would be in the cards.

Greg fixed it asap but I had the same problem not being approved to post. What would you buy for $800? I am so not mechanically inclined, any parts I buy I gotta pay someone to put on. Maybe you can feed me some ideas on what to buy that doesn't take a PhD in Engineering to install. If it ain't as simple as a couple screws or bolts, I am dumbfounded. I was thinking of having my upper intake polished or chromed but I doubt I could get the darn thing off. If you do get the flames, I def. want to see em as soon as it's done!:tmb:

Well, $800 will buy a set of Weld wheels and some drag radials, which will probably be my next purchase if you caught my earlier post in another area.
As for bolt ons, if you visit my site I have most of my mods listed and dyno charts for what each one did. The best bang for the buck was the C&L MAF for $270, and yes, even you could install it. ;) Of course, it ain't as pretty as the chromed CAI you have now, but it DOES give you power. All of my mods were installed by our SVTOA dealer, which gives us a good deal on parts and labor, so its worth it to me to pay them to do it! :D

Ken...if you are getting ready to buy a set of Welds, I may be able to help if this guy from Ebay screws me over. I had a bad experience with a Weld middle man (Greg Weld's son to be honest, Brock Weld). As a result of alot of fussing, Weld sent me a letter authorizing me a 40% discount on any wheel set. If he doesn't get the cash to me by Tuesday, it's yours if you want it. Email me if you are interested and I will save it for you if he backs out of the deal.

I'll def. keep you postd on the auction payment. He was supposed to have mailed the cash Friday from TN and being that I am in TN, it should have been here by now.

Heheh...methinks you are giving the USPS WAY more credit than they deserve! ;) But I understand.
I went ahead and bought a set of Steeda Ultra Lights. They weigh 3 lbs. less than the Weld's, each, and cost less too with the 10% SVTOA discount. I got both of them for a bit more than what 1 of the Weld's would have cost retail. :haha:
Thanks for the offer though! Maybe someone else could use it! :tmb:

:tmb: I looked at all your pictures and even though I'm not a fan of flames, these look great. I have a Mineral Gray 03 and am seriously thinking about doing this. Does anyone know where I can get this done in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area??

King...sorry just checked my email tonight (Sat), but no email from ya yet. I'll have to get the phone number for you but the name of the shop/guy is Ty Taylor, located in Barling, Arkansas. I am sure you can probably find it on anywho.com as well. LEt me know if you decide to make the trip, I'll be glad to help in any way.
