This part of the board is dead. So I thought I'd see if there are any other non-svt mustang owners out there?
As my sig says, I have an 03 GT. Wish I could have afforded a cobra when I bought it, but everything happens for a reason.

I own a 2006 Mustang GT that I am modifiying a little bit here and there. Originally I was looking into buying I think it was a 2001 cobra, but it had seen better days. I don't see a whole lot of cobras come up for sale very often, however one day I will find one that dosent look like it's been to hell and back. I may even consider buying a new one if the mark-up comes down a little more. However I do not regret getting the 2006 mustang GT eventhough it's not an SVT. At some of the car shows I go to I have GM guys tell me they like the car.

Traded the 03 Cobra for a Roush 428R. 1st time in 10 years there isn't a SVT car in the garage.
Howdy. I own an 08 GT, but I'm involved with a lot of SVT activities.

Many SVT owners are also non-SVT Ford owners (like me).
Welcome to the group!

I went from an SVT Focus to a 2007 Mustang GT. Nothing wrong with the Focus, I just wanted a V8 and rear drive. I don't really care for the GT 500, I think that a Mustang GT has better balance and can be modified more easily to my taste.

Yes, we are here. Like the good step child we hang out on the fringes. No big deal. I have an 05 with some modifications. I have been to Button Willow and Willow Springs here in CA. I have also been to several SVTOA events to include a trip to Utah last year. Great trip and lots of fun with the other members. Keep the fun going!

Glad to see there are still some "regular" Ford guys in here. I don't mind being the "step child" because it only makes me stand out more. But it's always fun when you have a pack of step children running around annoying the family. lol

Checking in as one of both as well. We had a 2010 GT before we got the GT500. I know I know, silly to trade so soon, but hindsight is 20/20 right?
My 2000 was my big project for a long time, but I got tired of sinking tons of time and money into it and not really getting anywhere. I still love it, but it's going to just be a cruiser car from now on. I had built a 298ci stroker for it with Fox Lake heads, VT cams, etc., but it became more of a headache. So I decided to buy a factory built, fast car. :)

I went 97 to 06 with a SVT and then went Roush. Now I have both.. I am happy!
