Just asking how many miles do you have on your L? Who ran up the most and did you have problems. aka blown plugs...
I was just thinking about reliability, newbi here, and a little concerned over the plug issue. Puchased a 99 with 15K last month. Always kept stock, was under a cover when I bought it.
Thanks

I have a 99 with 33k on it with almost every bolt on know to man(by the end of this week I'll be removing the almost:bna). I constantly abuse the gas pedal and have many drag strip passes on slicks and have yet to have one problem out of my truck.(knock on wood!!!). Its been the most reliable high performance machine I have ever owned!!!:)

That is so good to here. A mechanic friend on mine and I were talking about the liitle Ford problem yesterday. He has replaced a few heads in the past over this plug issue. He noticed that it is the back plugs most of the time. Maybe the amount of heat in the rear of the heads is greater than the front. Wonder if, just replacing the thermostat with a 160 degree could add a little prevention?

There's a red '99 in our local club that has at least 70K miles now. He's had very few problems... then again, he's right down the road from a local Lightning vendor's shop :)
