I just wanted to make it known that SVTOA will not be having a National On Track event this year. SVTOA will not be affiliated with SAAC or any of their conventions.

SVTOA will not be running the on track portion of the event that is going to be held at Thunderbolt Raceway in August of 2008.

Beginning in 2009 the plans are to have the SVTOA Experience rotate arround the country and be held in conjunction with one of the regional on track events. This is still in the planning stages.

If you have any questions, please ask.

Thanks

Dell Hughes
SVTOA Regional Director

Any association of the SVTOA with the Mustang's 45th anniversary in Alabama next year at Barber Motorsports Park?

Not at this time. They usually do their own thing, which is fine. I do know there will be members there and we could arrange a SVTOA meeting.

Barber is an interesting track.
We had 2 SARRC races there last year in the rain. LOOOooong weekend.
The museum is worth the price of admission.
Barber runs a family dairy processing company that has been in the SouthEast for many years. More money than he knows what to do with, so he collects cars and motorcycles. LOTSA motorcycles and just about every Lotus made, including a F-1 car.. or 2.

"The reason for this post is to make sure people know about the change in the event and if they do not want to attend because of that change to either not register, or have time to make a decision.

More information is coming.

The regional directors are working on your behalf."
