Does anyone know, for absolute sure, what the valving difference is between the 03-04 Cobra Coupe and Conv. shocks/struts are?
I figure not as tout on the conv. to keep flex to a minimum, but I autocross and would like a tad more damping.
Thanks
Dave

The main diff. is actually the springs, I believe the dampers are the same.

Conv. springs: 500lb front 470lb rear
Coupe Springs 600lb front and rear
sta bars are the same as well, 29mm front 26mm rear

Understand about the spring rates. I thought I had seen different order #'s for shocks/struts. Maybe not, as I can't find them now.

Yeah, the coupe has different part numbers than the 'vert:

Coupe
Strut == 2R3Z-18124-AA
Shock == 2R3Z-18125-AA

'Vert
Strut == 2R3Z-18124-BA
Shock == 2R3Z-18125-BA

There are no mount or external differences so one has to wonder if the difference is the valving.

I'm sure it is valving.
Stiffer springs would need stiffer valving.
I'm wondering if the stiffer valving (on a convertible) would aid in corner entry, as it would slow roll in a corner. Maybe give a firmer set.
Idea being with less transfer, both front tires would give equal grip on turn in, letting you change direction tad quicker.
Straight line. Who cares.

Well, it would slow body roll but it's also an overdamped suspension. I don't know by how much, it might not be enough of a difference, but it means that the strut/shock is dominating the wheel inputs and may slow the recovery of the suspension on large inputs. Just something to keep in mind :).
