Thanks for the warm welcome! I look forward to posting on a site that looks to have a more mature audience as apposed to 99% of the other message boards out there. Nice to see that there is a chapter for Canada, let alone eastern Ontario. I look forward to maybe meeting some of you this summer at track events. Are there any local events that take place and if so how would I be kept in the loop?
Do any of you go to any local ¼ mile tracks? The tracks that I visit are Sanair, Luskville (Not much since it is not much of a track), Autodrome (A new sanctioned ¼ mile track opening this spring). I also plan on going to some road courses this summer like Shanonville.
Take care, Jason

Thanks SVTgirl and skatepunk, I will check out http://www.teamsvt.ca for sure. Most of the events seem to be in Toronto. I am there a couple of times a year. Infact my Camaro (sorry) lol, is in Tdot right now and I should he heading up in a couple of weeks to pick it up from A.R.E. If there is enough interest in a race event either 1/4 mile or road course I would be more then happy to put something together. Unfortunatley I know of only 2 other Lightning owners in my area along with a handfull of other SVT Mustang owners.

Hey Jason,

We have a few members from the ottawa area and are hopefully going to put something together in ottawa for you guys this year... the club is based out of toronto but as you can see by the list some of the events are a little out of toronto, I believe the elliot lake event is close to ottawa. We are going to have 2 on tracks at moslport this year also

We also have some members out that way. We are also holding the Regional On-track this year at Shannonville. This event involves SVTOA National and all the local chapters within the area. Things are still in the planning stage but if you give me your email info I will make sure you receive all updates about it.

I look forward meeting you at least at one of the events. Ottawa isn't that far just a hop skip and a jump past all the OPP away. :tmb:

Just skip over Kingston anyway. Been there done that. Wasn't cheap. I think everyone has experienced the police out that way.

how about us.... will we get any updates about it???

I think it's great when other clubs can work together, it just makes it much more fun for all the enthusiasts!

:tmb: to the idea of getting other clubs into it. SVTOA members might be part of other Ford clubs ;) and may spur interest and possibly more members.

I like the idea of Shannonville now. I was concerned, at first, about the distance and so. But thinking...hey, this would be a great way for all the clubs to get folks together from a greater part of Toronto.

If people bring their hibachis, portable BBQs, burgers, pop, etc., this can be one heck of a party
