I finally will become the proud owner of an SVT vehicle. I will be getting the first one at my dealership. IT has already been assigned a VIN.

White/Blue.

Now it is time to get involved in the SVTOA events. Looking forward to seeing some of you guys there.

Congratulations.

May I ask how much you paid?

MSRP. I refused to pay over. I got a deal with a dealer that has sold all of their cars ar MSRP. All of their 2008s are spoken for and they are not talking about 2009 until we know whether or not they are going to make one.

Good guys and trustworthy all the way through.

Salesmanager called me today and gave me a build week of 7/30.

MSRP.

Cool!

I'm hanging out until they make enough for a rebate.

I know, wishful thinking, but that's what happened with the '03/'04's.

Actually, I was waiting for the ADMs to go away on Terms and got wind of the chassis change. I decided to wait and get the new chassis version of the Cobra. I had no idea it was going to be Shelby-ized. The delay in making them and the crazy market has made this a long wait. I'm ready for it to be over and have a Mustang again. It has been 11 years since I sold my last one. I'm Jonesin'.

I'm glad to hear you got your GT500 for MSRP.

I ordered my '03 Feb 2002 and paid MSRP. If I had waited I would not have gotten my color (Mineral Grey), as it was discontinued shortly after the start of production.

Congrats on the new car!! And a GT 500@ msrp even. :bna
My 03 vert sticker was $40,000 and I paid $32,000 out the door. I bought it in October of 2003.

I'm surprised!! There is a blue GT 500 Vert parked at a large dealership in Macomb Mi that has been there for a while. Don't know the asking price have not stopped in yet.
The strange thing is they leave it out 24 hours a day by the road (a very busy road). :thud:
They did not do that with the 03/04 Cobras.
I wonder why it has not sold yet. Silly me, I forgot this is Michigan and our economy really sucks now!!

Now there are 2, the blue vert w/white stripes and a white coupe w/blue strips.
I'll have to keep an eye on them to see how long it take for them to sell.

The longer they sit, the more likely the price will come down. With '08s starting production in 12 days, I would think the bottom would fall out of the '07 ADM market.

They got one at a dealership in Detroit's Western suburbs that is marked ip $15,000 over MSRP. Wonder how long that big of a markup will last.

The market is weakening. Ebay bids are getting lower and lower. Fewer cars are completing auction. Reading the other Mustang boards, several others are getting MSRP and 5K over deals. I think this Summer will really tell the story.

They have had both for a while now. It was last Friday (6/8) that they put the vert out by the road and on 6/13 the coupe joined it. Like fivepointfour said "this Summer will really tell the story."

The MSRP market is way overdue. I got my deal, but, I really hate to see the ADMs last this long. It is keeping the car out of the common man's hands. Which is where SVT vehicles were meant to be in the first place. Affordable Performance.

Hopefully the next generation will drop the SHELBY and, therefore, drop the fat ADMs.

Don't count on it! My local dealer is asking $58K for just the Mustang Shelby GT! :thud:

I work for a Ford dealership in El Paso. We are still getting $15k over for the GT500 (even as an employee that is my price!) but the two Shelby GT's we have are going for invoice plus the Shelby Package. Unfortunatly they do have about $600 worth of hail on each one.

I got so disgusted with the whole $15-20k over thing I just gave up and picked up an 03 10th anniv vert to replace the 03 terminator coupe I sold in anticipation of the GT500. UUUUGH oh well live and learn.

Peace

The Ford/Shelby relationship will die eventually and the cars will become Cobras again (assuming they continue to make a car of this caliber).

Here in Indiana the Shelby GTs are not selling at all. Too bad really. It is a pretty sweet little car. IF my deal falls through on the GT500 for some reason, I plan to pick up a Shelby GT and Supercharge it.

It's July 28 and they still have both of them. They are asking $85,000 for the coup and over $90,000 for the vert. They still have a 2000R asking $80,000 they will not budge on price no matter what.

Amen Brother. I had a deposit down on the 07 500 and got it back. FOund an '04 Terminator with 323 on the odo in N.C. for $31k. I'm happier than a pig in $h!t. Especially now knowing that the only Shelby's that are being made in C.S.'s facility were the Rent-a-racers and now the GT's. Odd the GT500 is made @ Ford.

Anyway, I too see the '07's not moving on ebay, autotrader.com, etc. I'm glad you guys are getting the '08's for near sticker, etc.

So, a dealer "STILL" has a new 2000R, with less than 100 miles on it and "STILL" asking $80K!

They must be doing one heck of a business that they can hold onto inventory for 7+ years! :bash:

Update:

My car has been "Bucked". From what I understand, that means it is going down the line.

i have been calm all this time, but, now the anxiety is really starting to build.
