Remember our picture exchange on the autopower 4pt roll bar? Well, as you probably know I installed that about a year ago so I could run my car at Summit Point. Well after seeing a a BMW M3 hit the wall in turn 10 and totaling his car -- they had to cut him out, but he was OK -- I decided to upgrade. I had Jon Dega at Springfield Motorsport add a Simpson 5 pt harness on both front seats. To do that he added a removable brace to the roll bar about 12 inches below the top which also provided strenghtening to the roll bar. Then I had him add removable side braces on both doors. They run from just above my armpit to my ankle attaching to the roll bar just under where the seat belt guide sticks out. I also added a driveshaft safety loop. The 5 pt harness and added braces can be removed for daily driving, but installed for track use. I'll post pictures if I can get them done this week-end. I have been driving to and from work with the side braces in so I can get used to driving in the more confined space. It really tightens up the car.
