I ocassionaly run my Cobra on the track (road course). I would like better brakes, BUT want to keep the original wheels. As most of you know the '93 Cobra rotors are only for the '93 Cobra (R model is a 5 lug setup) the "hat" height is taller than all other fox body stangs. So, I think Brembo makes a better brake setup??
Can anyone help me on my quest.
Thanks.

I can only suggest visitng the various aftermarket brakes sites, Brembo, SSB, Wilwood, etc.

This was something I looked into some years ago but never did anything about. My recollection is that most companies, like Brembo, make front brake set ups for it but no rear set ups. If I remember right, only Baer Brakes made a complete front and back brake upgrade kit specifically for the '93 Cobra.

You only need the Baer front track kit. Your stock rear disks will work fine with the 13" PBR Baer set up. I've had this on my 93 for probably 10 years now. Worked great on the road course, drag strip or the street. Only issue is replacement parts are rather pricy.
Contact Mark Wilson at http://www.on-trackperformance.com/ and he'll set you up with the right stuff. He had this exact set up on his street 93 long ago.
