So I'm a total putz :D I'm learning fast how serious car clubs are already planning now for 2003 events.

We had some OFOC members suggest a track day, or at least doing some 1/4-mile laps or something.

I remember talking with some folks and recall insurance is a huge issue (I sure don't want to be responsible for damages and injuries). Also, it's the commitment factor of some of my folks. Some are willing to lay out the $$$...and some aren't. Then we get to who wants to do what on the track. Then comes the worry about location: Shannonville vs St Thomas.

Richard, we will be going to Shannonville for our track event (2 full days of events) and also will be going to St. Thomas for a drag day. The ontrack will also have a single day price as well.

If you just join in on these events insurance and all the other worries will not be your problem.

At this point in time costs for the ontrack are still to be determined.

Cool :tmb:

Lemme see what I can field from the troops. I'm assuming finding more participants will help in making the costs less prohibitive :)

The cost is a fixed cost based on number from previous events. As soon as we know what it will be I will let you know.

I really wanted to go last year (to the the on track event), but I bought my Cobra a week too late. It is probably for the better as i would have killed myself, but now I have tamed the beast and would love to drive it to the limits.

How much (roughly) is it to do the on-track event?

We are not sure just yet but It will be reasonable. It is a two day event on October 4 and 5. I believe that I have you in my email list but just in case, drop me an email and i will make sure you ar there so you don't miss out. svtoa-toronto@rogers.com
