The head of Ford’s Special Vehicle Team is leaving the high-performance division and headed to Brazil for another job with the Blue Oval.
Hau Thai-Tang, director of advanced product creation and Special Vehicle Team, better known as SVT, since 2005, has accepted a new position in Brazil to become director of product development in South America. His new assignment is effective March 1, 2007, according to Ford.
He is considered one of Ford’s brightest engineers, and his rise through the ranks began in 2000, when he was named vehicle dynamics supervisor and vehicle engineering manager for the Lincoln LS. Thai-Tang, 40, headed up the team that created the 2005 Mustang, one of the best things to happen to the company in years.
Thai-Tang is replacing David Breedlove, who is retiring after more than 30 years with Ford. Thai-Tang will be based in Camacari, Bahia, Brazil. Replacing him at SVT will be Hermann Salenbauch, a former BMW employee, who joined Ford in 2000.

I get it "M" like Mickey Mouse right?

I would just be happy to see another SVT product out there, like an SVT Fusion? It would also be nice to see an SVT product that you could buy for a real sticker price. GT500 $20,000 over sticker? Give me a break :upst:

I will just be happy just to see SVT continue, there are many changes coming :frn:
