I just bought my first stang it is a 04 cobra.. has any one ever changed the type of coolant in the intercooler with a specialty coolant to reduce heat? If so which type..Any feed back will be very appreciated. thanks.

I use Water Wetter. HOWEVER, if you live in a colder climate you must use some sort of antifreeze if your car is exposed to below freezing temps. For obvious reasons. I found myself changing mine in the middle of the night because I had forgotten to replace it before the temps started to drop. You definitely don't want a cracked super charger or or cracked anything else either. I cannot confirm as to whether or not it makes a big difference since I have yet to put a temp sensor gauge in. my 2 cents. :)

I have used water wetter in my 90 GT for many years since I first saw it. I have been told by several NOT to use it in the intercooler coolant that comes from the factory as it turns it to sludge. I contacted Redline and they said it was 100% compatible with No issues. I am just debating whether to use it or not.
