We are back again this year. We are going to the Dunnville Autodrome in Dunnville Ontario Canada. July 28-29, 2007. It is not too far from the US/New York Boarder (45 Minutes) or too far from the US/Detroit Board (4 hours). Check it out. They have made improvements on this facility since it first opened. http://www.dunnvilleautodrome.com/ This is where they do a lot of filimg for the TV Show Sports Car Revolution and some other shows as well.

I believe so. Besides, only Mystichromes and Black Cobras need curbing.

Yes they have done a fair bit of work since we were there last. They have curbing and have also added some extra track to some of the more difficult corners. They tell me that it is about 5 seconds faster than it used to be.
Best way to find out is to join us.

Laura,
Just checked your website and saw the hotel we will be staying at.

Looks like it will be a great event to bring the family if they have never seen the falls being just 2 miles from the falls.
Will you be using www.svtoa.motorsportreg.com?
lauraq

No we won't be using motorsport reg unfortunately we will be using the old fashion way of mail in registration. If you need help let me know

Sure Guys, Make fun of the Canadians and then when I go up to help, they take it back on me!
Now I should not have to leave my snow plow on the front of my truck to clear the track at the end of July?

Are you bringing your car again? Loved the ride last year with Jeff.

Oh ya!
That is when I double dawg dared Jeff to cord my tires...........
That was a good ride!
If they let my rig across the border I will have the car and scooters.

I finally booked off my hotel room.
Just an FYI: Non-smoking, two beds still available. Book fast if you're planning to attend. The room block will be released after June 27th, I believe. Miss out, and you're fighting with the tourists.

If you are planning on joining us you should ensure you get your registrations in before June 28, Prices go up after that date. Also space is somewhat limited so, if you are planning on joining us drop me an email and I will put you down on the list.
See you there.

The event is filling up fast. Come on up for some great times on and off the track with fellow SVT and car enthusiasts. We'll treat ya right with some good ol' Canadian hospitality EH!
Oh, and since we're all staying in Niagara Falls, there is a lot to do: see the Falls, shop, go out, casino.

With the host hotel being in Niagra Falls, ON, there are PLENTY of things for your families to do while you are at the track "turnin' and learnin'"!
If you're in NY, PA, OH, MI, or WV, you should REALLY consider coming up to this event. It's in a great part of Ontario, beautiful, easy drive from Niagra, is easy to get to and a fun track to drive.
Hope to see you there!

Great, we can't keep Laura under control in a small town now she has all Niagara Fall to be prowling around all night.
Can any one bring a nice fashionable life jacket for Laura incase she gets any ideas?
I can just hear it now……..
"Laura, stay back away from the fence"!!

Laura should be fine. It's the Fun Police that needs to be of concern.
See ya folks there!

After my 18hour day on Sunday working (overtime). I decided to get new tires.
So I'll be at Dunnville on Sunday.
Hopefully the track will be kinder to my car this time around. :)

I just know what a wild and crazy thrill seeking girl you are when you let your hair down!!!
Just hoping the only swimming you want to do is in the hotel pool, not going for a thrill ride over the falls.
Picked up the New SVTOA Calendars late last night, they look great!!!!

Already been over the falls in a barrel when I was a kid. LOL I have a picture to prove it.
Thanks so much for picking up the calendars. I think everyone here owes you a bunch.
See you in a couple of days. I have some cars saga stories to share.

Laura - Great event once again!! Had a blast. Can't wait until next year - hopefully the TwinTorino project will be done and we will be able to have them out at whatever track happens to host the event next year.
Jeremy finally got his BMW fixed.. but not without kicking and screaming. He ended up getting rad back in, and after driving a couple of miles, it started to overheat again. Turns out the waterpump had failed which had caused the rad to go south shortly after. Sunday morning, he checked in with Canadian Tire, and they did not have any in stock across Canada. I stopped into Partsource in Niagara Falls on Sunday and it turned out that they had 2 in Burlington. Jeremy got his father (who happens to live in Burlington) to grab them and head back to Dunnville where the finally got the car back in order again on Sunday. He ended up buying them both just in case. After all of that - one of the waterpumps he bought did not even fit, while the other did.
Thankfully.. the Contour had a problem free event.

I want to thank everyone who helped make this event possible.
And for those of you that didn't attend this event, shame, shame on you! Dunnville is a much better track than it was when we were there in 2004. More paving, more apex and track-out curbing, the whole track "flows" much better than it's first version. Also, we now get the bonus of being able to run the track in two different directions. Cool, eh? Two tracks in two days. And this time, no skydivers landed inside the track perimeter!
First off: Thank you to the seemingly tireless Laura and her crew of volunteers. Thanks to these folks, the Canadian event is always one of the best organized and most "stress-free" weekends for this ol' Lead Instructor dawg. Thanks Richard, Eian, Nigel and all the other SVTOA members that stepped up and helped put the event together! Thanks y'all, eh!
A HUGE thank you to Ted Hogan and Dixie Ford. Ted, you're a true enthusiast and a great friend of SVTOA...thank you for your continued support for the On Track events and the other SVTOA Toronto events.
Also, thank you to my crew of dedicated, patient and enthusiastic in-car instructos. These guys and gals pour themselves into helping everyone become better, safer and smoother drivers. For Dunnville, our instructors were;
John Venditti
Joe Quaranto
Andy Quaranto
Will Franssen
Guillermo "just call me G" Aristizabal
Opal Gamble
Brad Hall
Fernando DaSilva
Cam Golberg
Chris Atkins
Ed Nicholson
Tim Cahill
A special thanks to Will Franssen and Joe Quaranto for helping out on grid and generally anywhere else I asked them to lend a hand. Thanks guys!
And of course, a huge thank you to all of our drivers. Beginners, Intermediates and Advanced...everyone did a great job of staying on the track, driving within the spirit of the event, and generally enjoying a gorgeous weekend at the track with lots of great friends! And to our beginners, great job gang! Thank you for your patience, both in the classroom and in-the car! See? I told you this was addictive! Great job!
Hope to see MORE of you next year, eh?
Sincerely,
GapBoyPCS
