I came across this site after seeing article for them in Autoweek
www.hookedondriving.com
Click on the "Watch Track TV" button to see preveiws from their video. I was impressed and ordered one. At least now when a friend or family member asks about this "High Performance Driving Experience" stuff, I can just throw a DVD on and let them check it out :spinem:

From what I've been told, this is a VERY good video... one of our long-time SVTOA instructors highly recommends it to ANYONE who wants to get more out of their performance driving.

I got a copy from our local Shelby club and would recommend it novices or to anyone interested in seeing what we do on track. The video is professionally done with nice high angle crane shots of corners to show how different lines yield different results. IE early and late apexing.
It covers everything from the line, to tech, to etiquette to proper passing. Some of it is a little off from what SVTOA teaches and some of the examples of the lines could be a bit better, but on the whole it is a nice video. I really liked the segment in which Randy Pobst shows how he drives a track that he has never driven before. That alone makes the video worthwhile as it shows people that even the pros don’t jump in a car at a new track and go balls to the wall. Even as he begins to pick up the pace he doesn’t get everything right and has to adjust his thinking as to what a particular section of track is going to allow him to do.

I got my DVD today and agree with your assesment. For the novice it's a great reference and will let them know what to expect on their first time out. Also has a great heal-toe demo using a Roush Stage 3 and really stresses how we should be driving our street cars at 7/10s out on track and why.
Some segments of this video would be great to show at a SVTOA meeting or classroom material for group 1 drivers. It's only $25 (incl s&h), or you can send me a PM if you would like to borrow my copy to use for your SVTOA meeting or track event.

Reno-Fernley Raceway looks interesting too.

It's not like a typical Alan Wilson designed track that I usually drive.
